First, it is necessary to designate a person to be in charge of pre-registering personnel.
The contractor's representative(s) use either the formulaire de pré-enregistrement pour les contractants / Pre-registration form for Contractors (PREGRO) via EDH, or the PRT application to pre-register the members of their personnel required to work at CERN, by following the instructions set out in the EDH document's online help.
According to the person designated:
Scenario no 1 : You are not registered at CERN and you don't have a computing account. |
A few days before the arrival of contractors' and temporarys' personnel on the CERN site, you must follow the steps below (steps to be followed online because for synchronization purposes between the various tools, these cannot take place on the first day):
Fill in the paper form "Fiche d'enregistrement du personnel d'entreprises" and send it to the Service Desk via the address Access.Registration@cern.ch asking the activation of a computing account which will be created only when the person is registered. It takes 2 hours for the account to be activated. It is important that the computer security course is completed within a maximum of 5 days from the date your computer account is validated, otherwise it will be blocked.
Once the registration done and the computing account enabled, request access to the EDH document formulaire de pré-enregistrement pour les contractants / Pre-registration form for Contractors (PREGRO) by creating the "Request EDH PREGRO access" ticket via the Service Portal if this is suited to your needs or use the PRT tool if the EDH online form is not adequate. Access to the document will be valid for the duration of the contract.
The contractor's representative(s) then submit a formulaire de pré-enregistrement pour les contractants / Pre-registration form for Contractors (PREGRO) for each person from the company who will be working on the CERN site, or use the PRT application, depending on the tool initially chosen.
On the first day of their contract, contractors' personnel physically visit the CERN Community Support Center (Building 33) to collect their access card. Once the registration has been completed and the computing account validated, the contractors' personnel must complete the following online training courses via the CERN Training Catalogue (Learning Hub). Synchronization between the new computing accounts and the Learning Hub takes place twice a day (midday and midnight). |
